I went to the middle-of-nowhere Oklahoma to visit my son whom I had not seen in ages. I am a city girl and he has become a country boy. He loves living on the cattle ranch and I am glad he is happy there. The bugs an ticks got me a little uptight, but all in all, it was a great way to see part of our midwest, a place I have never spent any time.
This calf was one of a set of twins born the day this photo was taken, the calf was literally hours old. The mother cow accepted the other calf, but sadly did not accept 'Bootsie'. So my son loaded her into the Ranger and took her back to the main barn so that Barb and he can hand-feed her until she is old enough to go back into the herd.
